NRDC conducted a Strategic Planning Workshop

 

Strategic PlanningThe Natural Resources Development Corporation (NRDC) conducted a three-day Strategic Planning Workshop on August 10-12, 2011 at EUROTEL North EDSA, Quezon City. This was part of an on-going NRDC strategic planning process aimed at developing a road map and strategic plan for the Corporation to achieve long-term goals.

This workshop served as venue for the NRDC officials and employees in identifying the key strengths and weaknesses at the functional level. It also sought feedback from NRDC stakeholders on possible opportunities and threats.

In this undertaking, the NRDC officials and key staff revisited its mission, vision and goals and have agreed to craft a strategic plan to support the NRDC mandate. They formulated implementing strategies based on the new mission and vision.

 

The invited Resource Persons from different bureaus of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and other government agencies presented their respective offices’ mandates and programs that included opportunity windows for the NRDC. The valuable inputs of the resource persons and guests during the workshop were among the considerations in the formulation of NRDC's long-term strategies to ensure that the projects and initiatives to be undertaken are in line with the DENR’s policy thrusts and have greater impact at the National level.

Said workshop was successfully concluded with the support and cooperation shown by the concerned DENR Officials, members of the NRDC Board and other stakeholders who participated in the workshop.

The NRDC President, Atty. Felix J. Mariñas, Jr., gave his inspirational message at the opening of the workshop and conveyed his words of wisdom at the closing program. He emphasized the importance of teamwork and acknowledged the efforts of all participants, facilitators, resource persons and guests.
