The project involves the establishment and development of plantation and biomass fed power plant. The power plant is envisioned to generate power to be utilized for the development of the Busuanga Island using biomass or plantation species as feedstock.
The establishment of plantation and watershed preservation is the main aim of Executive Order No. 26 and DAO
Plantation development: It involves the establishment of plantation using indigenous fuelwood and bamboo species that will serve as feedstock for the power plant.
Watershed preservation: It includes the protection, enhancement and rehabilitation of watershed areas within the identified project site to preserve its biodiversity and ecological balance.
Warehouse and Processing: It entails the setting up of a system development and operation of storage and processing area of the harvested biomass prior to power plant utilization/feeding.
Power Plant Establishment: It requires the creation of power plant and system development for energy generation and disposition to designated distribution parties/cooperatives.
